Community Missions

Our local area offers several opportunities for mission service. Our Mission ministry coordinates our participation with these and other charitable organizations:

Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula/CanLink -- we collect non-perishable items year-round and give them to one of these local emergency food sources.

PORT Homeless Shelter -- Volunteers contribute in many ways, including donations of time and clothing for all seasons.

Habitat for Humanity -- The Habitat website says, "Churches are essential in grounding the work of Habitat in the gospel message and uplifting the ministry of Habitat in prayer." …And guess what? We volunteer for the physical labor, too! It's a true community-"building" experience.

Other ways we witness:
Participating in Christopher Newport University Campus Ministry
Volunteering in the St. Vincent's Soup Kitchen
Supporting  LINK of Hampton Roads

For more information about serving in these capacities, please contact the Church Office via email or phone (757-595-1313).
